This client was the EC directorate responsible for increasing the standardisation and hence
inter-operability of telecommunications services between member countries.
MorganDoyle consultants were engaged under the Advanced Communications and Telecommunications Services
programme to assist in the development of an integrated service management architecture. The
architecture covered the business, service and network layers, including inter-domain
management, specification of standard functional building blocks for service management
systems, information models and interface specifications. These models were applied to case
studies of Data VPNs and Universal Personal Telecommunications.
The results were published in a book entitled "Towards Information Superhighways".
