This client, an established Telco, sought to add more value to its existing data
networking products by moving further up the value chain by hosting significant and costly
applications for its corporate clients. For this project the application was a hosted data
warehouse and decision support system.
MorganDoyle’s major contribution to the product launch was to produce a
service definition and SLAs
covering all interfaces, i.e. user, management, network and OSS. MorganDoyle
collected source background material and interviewed all relevant parties including product owners,
sales & marketing, ISV representatives and OSS platform managers. From this, the Team produced a
draft service definition for discussion with senior management.
This led to subsequent negotiation of service features to ensure consistency between commercial
marketing needs, technical feasibility and operational costs.
The final service definition was produced after this iterative process.
